This is the first official promo art for Jack the Reaper. Which, in case you aren't very familiar with me, is the title of a game that I am currently making. Details, Trailer, and a Demo can be found here: [link]

I've been working very hard on Jack, and I felt like making some official art for it. It's official because I made it, of course, but doesn't it actually look official? My goal was to draw something that would legitimately look good on the cover of an instruction manual for a SNES game. Imagine this picture, but colored in and with a black background. Nice, right?

I was holding off on inking it until I could scan and upload it. well, guess what I just did, obviously.
Although... looking at it now, I'm not sure if I want to ink it or not. I recently got this new scanner, you see, and it makes my pencil sketches show up much better now. This has a nice classic style to it right now that I think an outline might destroy. feedback on that aspect would be appreciated.

I have a related piece in the works that I'm drawing on a large sheet of paper, but that one's going to take a while for me to finish.

Intelligent comments and critiques are much appreciated.

Whoa, man, I was NOT expecting this! Nice layout, it does remind me of an SNES box cover. I'm assuming the bottom right is where the title card would go?

I'd certainly advise against inking the original drawing, but you can always do that work digitally.

The title could go in either the bottom or top right. maybe even above it, if I extended the space on top.
